Grasseaters – 7″ Session

Grasseaters – 7″ session (unreleased, 2012):  No cover art for this one today because this never actually came out.  I was supposed to release a 7″ of it.  But, the band unfortunately broke up, luckily (or unluckily, depending on how you look at it) mere days before the record was to go to press.  This is a rip from the CDR of the master tracks that were to be on the 7″, plus a killer Necros cover from the same session.

You might remember Grasseaters from an earlier post, but for those that don’t, this Oklahoma City band played an incredible brand of totally unique hardcore.  It’s chaotic, punishing, and layered in a way that merits, and rewards, repeated listens.  Sure, you’ll mosh the very first time you hear the end of Congruent Behavior.  But, there are weirdly catchy subtleties, swirling guitar whirlwinds over throbbing bass, and really powerful, instantly recognizable vocals.  Maybe one day this will get a proper release, but for now enjoy these digital placeholders.
