Ooze – #12 + 13 CS

cover

Ooze – #12 + 13 CS (2013, self-released):  You know who OOZE is.  I don’t feel the band needs much of an introduction at this point, but if you’re truly unfamiliar you could find a worse place to start.  While OOZE created and distributed, albeit to varying levels of broadness, a slew of tapes in their run, they ran the gamut of sound quality and indispensability.  Sometimes they ended up being more or less practices on tape.

Not this one though.  This thing is a certifiable ripper.  These songs are fully formed OOZE at the peak of their powers and many of these songs only appear on this session.  Their signature mix of tight guitar raging embellished by occasional wild noodling, the pure venom in the vocals, and some of the best drumming in the business solidify this tape as one of the band’s all-time best.  I don’t need to tell you about it, so I’ll just shut up and let you revel in the OOZE.
